Our History

In 1975, Dan Courser Sr., a butcher by trade, began processing a few deer each season for friends and neighbors in his garage on Fish Lake Road in Lapeer. Word quickly spread about his quality work as a butcher. Customers began to multiply, following him through several location changes. As the business grew, Dan Sr. began training his sons, Todd and Dan Jr., to work alongside him processing deer. In 2010 Dan Sr and Dan Jr partnered as owners and in 2011 moved the business to its current location on Skelton Road. Over the years, the family went from doing just a few deer each season to nearly over 2000 this past 2020 season. By God’s grace and all our great customers we have continued to grow our facility and capabilities to meet our customer’s needs. These changes have enhanced our ability to provide the best, most efficient service for our customers. Dan Sr. and Dan Jr. continue to work together with their families through the fall.
